William Arthur Ward (1921-94), educator, motivational speakers, prolific aphorist, and author of Foundations of Faith and Pertinent Proverbs, a popular column that appeared in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Ward is considered one of the most-quoted American writers of inspirational aphorisms.
