Best Pi Puns

atkins-bookshelf-triviaEach year on March 14, Albert Einstein’s birthday (he was born on March 14, 1879 in Ulm, Germany) is overshadowed by math geeks’ celebration of Pi day (3.14), a national holiday established by Congress on March 9, 2009 (most likely by a vote of 314 to 1). To make up for that slight, Princeton University, where Einstein held a position from 1933 to 1955, celebrates the crazy haired genius with an Albert Einstein look-alike contest as part of their pi day festivities that also include pie tossing, pie eating contests, and other pie-related tomfoolery popular with college students, especially those that are mathematically inclined.

There is no better way to celebrate National Pi Day, however, than to pun-nish pi lovers with wicked pi puns. Bookshelf presents some of the best pi puns (remember, it’s all relative) for pi lovers and paronomasiacs.
