When times get tough, the tough… start praying. In a survey on the religious landscape of America conducted in 2007, the Pew Research Center revealed that 58% of people pray daily. Residents of Maine pray the least (40% pray every day) while residents of Mississippi pray the most (77% pray every day). Younger Americans (18 – 29 years old) pray less than older Americans: 48% say they pray each day. Perhaps that percentage would rise dramatically if deities had a Facebook or Twitter account.
